Mylne Table Mats

Alfred Mylne was one of the four great yacht designers of the early 20th Century, alongside G.L. Watson, William Fife III & Charles Nicholson.

Mylne started his yacht design career working for Watson where his design skills can be appreciated in the original Royal Yacht Britannia. It was not a smooth relationship, and Mylne opened his own design office in Glasgow in 1896. His early racing successes secured his reputation, and he went on to design over 400 yachts until his retirement in 1945.
