Ewan_at_ToberonochyShona_2004_WHWeekEwan Kennedy has owned one of Alfred Mylne's yachts for over a third of a century and has acquired a treasure trove of information about them over the years. Recently he decided to assemble this in digital form and publish it on the internet and it's now freely available on a couple of blogs.

www.scottishislandsclass.blogspot.com contains the history of Mylne's iconic Scottish Islanders and some of the personalities who were connected to them in their heyday. It includes the sailing biography of Herbert Thom, who was arguably the most successful racing helm of all time.

www.scottishboating.blogspot.com contains a miscellany of general material, but there are also items about Alfred Mylne's designs for clients at home and abroad, including a story about his involvement in yachting espionage a hundred years ago. Ewan says "From yachting and boating history to musings about design and construction issues and just occasional references to current affairs I hope there's something for everyone."
